Peter Westhoff - Principal Telephone : 314-727-1554 While attending law school in Kansas City, Pete returned each summer to St. Louis to clerk for the law firm of Reinert & Rourke, P.C. After graduating from law school, Pete began working with Amelung, Wulff & Willenbrock, P.C. as an associate and within three years was promoted to Senior Attorney. Pete gained valuable trial experience defending insurance companies and their insureds while working for Amelung, Wulff & Willenbrock. Pete defended dozens of matters including personal injury, products liability, premises liability, slip and falls, and vexatious refusal to pay claims against insurance companies. In addition, Pete read, interpreted and provided coverage opinions regarding numerous homeowners and automobile insurance policies. While working with Amelung, Wulff & Willenbrock's subrogation department, Pete won numerous trials where he represented plaintiffs involved in automobile accidents. Pete also won numerous trials in which he represented one of the largest public utility companies in the State of Missouri. Pete successfully completed the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyer's Trial Academy at the University of Missouri Columbia School of Law. The Trial Academy is an intensive three day seminar taught by experienced lawyers and judges from across the State of Missouri. The Trial Academy covers all aspects of trial from picking the jury to closing arguments. Pete has tried and won cases on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County as well as St. Clair County, Illinois and Madison County, Illinois.
