Sean graduated from St. Louis Priory School in 1985. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a political science degree, Sean attended St. Louis University School of Law, where he graduated in 1995. Since law school, Sean has gathered a vast array of experience in many areas of the law. Early in his career, Sean worked as an associate for Frenkel & Frenkel, P.C., a plaintiffs' law firm based in Dallas, Texas with ties to St. Louis. Sean operated a satellite office in University City, Missouri for Frenkel & Frenkel. During his tenure at Frenkel & Frenkel, Sean handled dozens of personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, slip and falls, product liability cases, and medical negligence cases.
Sean then joined Reinert & Rourke, P.C. as an associate. While working with Reinert & Rourke, Sean focused his practice on insurance defense work, including bond and surety defense and construction litigation. Sean also successfully argued cases in front of administrative agencies and appellate courts, and began developing experience handling real estate litigation.
Sean joined the firm of Edwards, Schramm, Watkins, Spoeneman, Waltrip & Beilenson, LLC in 2001. Sean's practice at Edwards, Schramm, Watkins, Spoeneman, Waltrip & Beilenson included work on domestic relations matters, criminal actions, personal injury cases, appellate cases, and real estate litigation. In 2003, Sean successfully tried a real estate case to a jury in the St. Louis County Circuit Court, where his clients were awarded a quarter million dollar verdict.
In November 2004, Sean decided to open his own law firm. His brother, Benjamin, joined him roughly one year later to form the Westhoff Law Firm LLC.
Significant Accomplishments
Prepared and successfully tried a real estate action against a major home builder to a jury in St. Louis County Circuit Court, ....resulting in a verdict of over $200,000 in favor of his clients
Argued and won several cases in front of the Missouri Court of Appeals
Successfully handled several administrative hearings, including matters in front of the Personnel Advisory Board
Obtained excellent results in all varieties of personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, slip and falls, product ....liability cases, and premises liability cases.
Represented individuals on a variety of criminal charges with positive results, including felony drug possession charges ....and DWI matters
